Accounting, invoicing & POS software for Kuwait.
Kuwait businesses run on bilingual paperwork and — for now — no VAT. Flowyana keeps double-entry books without a tax line today, prints Arabic and English on one page, and keeps a VAT profile ready for the day the rate is set.
- Dinar books that also carry dollars
- No VAT today; a setting when it comes
- Arabic–English documents on one page
- Retail and restaurant POS that works offline

Out of the box
What ships for Kuwait.
These are the defaults the workspace starts with when you pick the country. Every one of them is a setting you can change.
| Setting | Default for Kuwait |
|---|---|
| Tax regime | VAT, with inclusive or exclusive pricing per business, and tax split to its own ledger on every posting. |
| Shipped rates | Kuwait signed the 2016 GCC VAT framework but has not brought VAT into force, so no rate ships. The profile is ready: when VAT arrives, adding the rate is a setting, not a migration. |
| On documents | Your VAT registration number and business details on every invoice, quotation, receipt, and voucher. |
| Currency | Kuwaiti dinar (KWD) as base currency; any other currency on documents with the exchange rate carried into the books. |
| Languages | Workspace in Arabic and English , with right-to-left layout in Arabic and paired Arabic–English labels on printed documents. |
| Financial year | The calendar year is typical; some companies close in March. Set yours, and lock closed periods. |
Why it fits here
Built for how business runs in Kuwait.
Kuwait’s trading houses buy in dollars and sell in dinars on credit terms. Flowyana carries each exchange rate into the voucher, tracks stock per warehouse with transfers, and shows AR aging per client, so the books read in dinars while the purchase side stays in the supplier’s currency.
Running without VAT does not mean running without books. Double-entry vouchers still post from every sale, purchase, and expense, so the trial balance, P&L, and cash flow are live. When VAT is introduced, you add the rate and label in settings; documents and postings pick it up from that date.
Compliance, stated plainly
E-invoicing and filing in Kuwait
No VAT is in force. The government’s current plan rules out implementation before 2028. The GCC framework sets a 5% standard rate for when a member state adopts it.

What Flowyana does — and does not — claim
- Does: posts VAT to its own ledger on every sale, purchase, expense, and POS settlement; keeps a tax summary that agrees with the ledger; puts your VAT registration number on every document; locks closed periods.
- Does not: claim certified integration with any e-invoicing or filing platform. Get any vendor’s status in writing before you buy — including ours — and let your accountant confirm what and when you must file.

Flowyana in Kuwait, answered.
There is no VAT in Kuwait — does Flowyana still fit?
Yes. Tax is configuration, not a requirement. Books post without tax today; if VAT is introduced, you add the rate and label in settings and documents and postings apply it from the date you choose.
What about the dinar’s three decimal places?
The dinar is set up as your base currency with its own code and symbol. Before you rely on any software for fils-level amounts, test it with a three-decimal line on a receipt and in the ledger — we will show you exactly how Flowyana prints and posts it in the demo.
Can documents be in Arabic and English together?
Yes. Templates print paired Arabic–English labels on one page, and the workspace runs right-to-left in Arabic.
