Why it fits here

Built for how business runs in Oman.

Oman’s mix of trading, light manufacturing, and retail suits a platform where purchasing, production, stock, and sales share one record trail. A production order consumes materials per its bill of materials, finished goods land in stock, and the sale posts revenue with 5% VAT — cost and margin read from what actually happened.

With e-invoicing dated for 2027, the useful preparation now is unglamorous: every invoice a structured, VAT-split record; the registration number on every document; the tax summary agreeing with the ledger. That is what Flowyana does by default.

Compliance, stated plainly

E-invoicing and filing in Oman

VAT is in force at 5%. Tax Authority Decision 189/2026 (August 2026) sets mandatory e-invoicing Phase 1 from 1 April 2027 for businesses with annual supplies above OMR 5 million and Phase 2 from 1 October 2027 for the rest, with a group of notified large taxpayers piloting from August 2026.

What Flowyana does — and does not — claim

  • Does: posts VAT to its own ledger on every sale, purchase, expense, and POS settlement; keeps a tax summary that agrees with the ledger; puts your VAT registration number on every document; locks closed periods.
  • Does not: claim certified integration with any e-invoicing or filing platform. Get any vendor’s status in writing before you buy — including ours — and let your accountant confirm what and when you must file.

Questions

Flowyana in Oman, answered.

Is Oman VAT at 5% supported?

Yes. The Oman profile ships 5% standard and 0% zero-rated VAT with inclusive or exclusive pricing; tax posts to its own ledger on every sale, purchase, expense, and POS settlement.

Will Flowyana meet the 2027 Oman e-invoicing mandate?

We do not claim integration with a system whose technical onboarding is still being rolled out. Get any vendor’s integration status in writing before relying on it — including ours — and confirm your phase with your accountant. Your invoices are already structured, tax-split records today.

What about the rial’s three decimal places?

The rial is set up as your base currency with its own code and symbol. Before relying on any software for baisa-level amounts, test it with a three-decimal line on a receipt and in the ledger — we will show you exactly how Flowyana prints and posts it in the demo.
