Accounting, invoicing & POS software for Qatar.

Doha contractors, retailers, and restaurant groups run without VAT today and with the certainty that it is coming. Flowyana keeps the books double-entry now, prints Arabic and English together, and makes VAT a setting to switch on rather than a system to replace.

  • No VAT today; ready when the rate is set
  • Arabic–English documents and RTL workspace
  • Job cards and tickets for contractors
  • Multi-branch books under one company

Out of the box

What ships for Qatar.

These are the defaults the workspace starts with when you pick the country. Every one of them is a setting you can change.

Default tax, currency, and language settings Flowyana ships for Qatar
Setting Default for Qatar
Tax regime VAT, with inclusive or exclusive pricing per business, and tax split to its own ledger on every posting.
Shipped rates Qatar signed the 2016 GCC VAT framework but has not brought VAT into force, so no rate ships. The profile is in place; adding the rate later is a setting.
On documents Your VAT registration number and business details on every invoice, quotation, receipt, and voucher.
Currency Qatari riyal (QAR) as base currency; any other currency on documents with the exchange rate carried into the books.
Languages Workspace in Arabic and English , with right-to-left layout in Arabic and paired Arabic–English labels on printed documents.
Financial year The calendar year is typical. Set yours, and lock closed periods.

Why it fits here

Built for how business runs in Qatar.

Qatar’s economy leans on services, contracting, and hospitality. Those businesses need work orders that carry a name, tickets with client history, and invoices that post the moment work completes — with or without a tax line. Flowyana does exactly that, and adds the tax line when the law does.

Because Qatar-based groups often have a branch in Dubai or Riyadh, the same company can run a 5% VAT branch, a 15% branch, and a no-VAT branch on one platform, each posting correctly, with reports read per branch and consolidated.

Compliance, stated plainly

E-invoicing and filing in Qatar

No VAT is in force. An e-invoicing framework was approved in 2026, which advisers read as groundwork; planning estimates for a VAT launch cluster around 2027, though no date has been set. The GCC framework provides for a 5% standard rate on adoption.

What Flowyana does — and does not — claim

  • Does: posts VAT to its own ledger on every sale, purchase, expense, and POS settlement; keeps a tax summary that agrees with the ledger; puts your VAT registration number on every document; locks closed periods.
  • Does not: claim certified integration with any e-invoicing or filing platform. Get any vendor’s status in writing before you buy — including ours — and let your accountant confirm what and when you must file.

Questions

Flowyana in Qatar, answered.

Qatar has no VAT — what does Flowyana do about tax?

Nothing until you tell it to. The Qatar profile ships without a rate; the books post without tax. When VAT is introduced, you add the rate and label in settings and every document and posting applies it from that date.

We also have a branch in the UAE. Can both run on one platform?

Yes. Branches carry their own tax settings, currency, and document branding, and staff see only their own branch. The owner reads per-branch and consolidated reports.

Are Arabic documents supported?

Yes. Paired Arabic–English labels print on one page, and the workspace runs right-to-left in Arabic.
