Warehouses & locations

Every shelf, store room and warehouse counted on its own.

Keep stock in as many locations as you have, each belonging to a branch: warehouses, shops, store rooms and transit areas. See what each one holds, move stock between them, and move a whole location to another branch with its stock.

  • Unlimited locations, each in a branch
  • Stock, reserved and available per location
  • A default location for every branch
  • Move a location, or all its stock, in one step

What is Warehouses & locations in Flowyana?

Flowyana multi-warehouse inventory software tracks stock separately in every place you keep it: warehouses, shops, store rooms, transit areas or vans, each belonging to a branch. It is for retailers, distributors, restaurant groups and manufacturers with more than one stock location, in India, the Gulf and elsewhere.

A single stock total hides the questions that matter: is the item in the warehouse or on the shop floor, and which branch has it? With multi-location inventory, each product shows its quantity at each location, what is reserved for confirmed orders, and what is still available to promise.

Locations sit inside branches. Every branch gets a default location when it is created, documents can name the location stock leaves or arrives at, and reorder levels are set per branch so low-stock alerts reflect the branch as a whole.

When your layout changes, the stock follows. Transfer stock between locations, empty a whole location in one action, or move a location to another branch with all its stock on a date you choose.

What it does

Warehouses & locations, in practice.

As many locations as you need

Add a location for each warehouse, shop, store room or van, with a name, a code and an address.

Location types

Mark a location as a Warehouse, Store or Transit area, or add your own types, and filter lists by type.

Every location in a branch

A location always belongs to one branch, so branch staff see the stock they work with and branch reports add up.

A default for each branch

Every branch has a default location, created for you with the branch. Documents that do not name a location use it.

Stock by location

See on hand, reserved for confirmed orders and available to promise for each product at each location.

Pick the location on documents

Sales orders, invoices, delivery notes, purchase orders, goods receipts and production orders can name the location stock leaves from or arrives at.

Reorder levels per branch

Set minimum, reorder and maximum stock levels per branch. Low stock is judged on the branch’s total across its locations.

Transfers between locations

Move stock from one location to another with a stock transfer, inside a branch or across branches.

Move all stock

Empty a location into another in one action, with progress you can watch and a list of anything left behind.

Move a location to another branch

Hand a location, with its stock, batches and serial numbers, to another branch on a date you choose. Both branches record the change.

How it works

Warehouses & locations, step by step.

  1. 1

    Add your locations

Create a location for each warehouse, shop or store room, with its branch, code, type and address.

  2. 2

    Pick the defaults

Choose the default location for each branch. Documents that name no location use it.

  3. 3

    Set branch reorder levels

Give products minimum, reorder and maximum levels per branch where they differ.

  4. 4

    Buy and sell by location

Name the location on purchase orders, goods receipts, sales orders and invoices so stock lands and leaves in the right place.

  5. 5

    Move stock as you need

Transfer between locations, move all stock out of one, or move a location to another branch.

In depth

A closer look.

Multi-warehouse inventory by branch

Each location has a name, a code, a type and an address, and belongs to exactly one branch. Types such as Warehouse, Store and Transit help you filter, and you can add your own. Every branch has a default location, created automatically with the branch, and the default is where stock lands or leaves when a document does not say otherwise. A branch always keeps at least one active location.

  • Name, code, type and address
  • Every location in one branch
  • A default location per branch
  • Add your own location types

Stock, reserved and available per location

The stock page lists every product at every location with its quantity. Confirmed sales orders reserve stock until they are invoiced or delivered, so you see what is on hand, what is reserved, and what is available to promise. Open any movement to see what changed, when, by whom and from which document.

  • On hand per location
  • Reserved for confirmed orders
  • Available to promise
  • A history of every movement

Locations on your documents

Sales orders, invoices, delivery notes, purchase orders, goods receipts, production orders and job card parts can each name a location. That is how stock arrives in the warehouse that received it and leaves from the shop that sold it. Reorder levels are set per branch, and low-stock alerts add up the branch’s locations so that stock moved within a branch does not trigger an alert.

  • Sales and purchase documents name a location
  • Production and job cards too
  • Branch-level reorder levels
  • Alerts judged on the branch total

Move stock, or move the whole location

Stock transfers move goods between any two locations. Move all stock empties a location into another in one action, leaving only stock reserved for open orders and a short list of items that need attention. Move to another branch hands the location itself, with its stock, batches and serial numbers, to a different branch on a date you choose; both branches record the stock and its value, and open documents that still use the location are listed first so nothing is left behind.

  • Transfers between any two locations
  • Move all stock in one action
  • Move a location to another branch
  • Progress, retry and a clear result

Questions

Asked about warehouses & locations.

What is multi-warehouse inventory?

Multi-warehouse inventory means tracking stock separately in each place you keep it, such as a central warehouse, shops and store rooms, instead of as one total. Flowyana keeps on hand, reserved and available stock for every product at every location.

How many warehouses or locations can I have in Flowyana?

As many as you need. Each location belongs to a branch, and every branch gets a default location when it is created.

Can I see stock by location?

Yes. The stock page shows each product’s quantity at each location, with what is reserved for confirmed sales orders and what is still available to promise.

How do I choose which location stock is sold from?

Name the location on the sales order, invoice or delivery note. If a document names none, stock leaves the branch’s default location.

What are location types?

A label for what the location is. Warehouse, Store and Transit come ready to use, and you can add your own, such as Van or Showroom.

How do I move stock between warehouses?

Create a stock transfer from one location to the other and complete it. To empty a whole location, use Move all stock on that location.

Can I move a warehouse to another branch in Flowyana?

Yes. Move to another branch hands the location and all its stock, batches and serial numbers to the branch you choose, on the date you choose. Both branches record the stock and its value.

Are low-stock alerts per location or per branch?

Per branch. A product is low when its total across the branch’s locations reaches the branch’s reorder level, so moving stock between a store room and the shop floor raises no false alarms.

Can I deactivate a location?

Yes. Deactivate a location you no longer use. A branch always keeps at least one active location.

What is the best multi-location inventory software for retailers in the UAE or India?

One that tracks each location separately, rolls them up by branch, and moves stock between them with a record. Flowyana does this for retailers, distributors and restaurants in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, India and beyond.
