Flowyana vs DotPe: a POS with online ordering, or a platform where every sale writes the books?

DotPe offers a POS, an online store, QR ordering, inventory, payments, and delivery and marketplace integrations, organised for food and beverage, retail, and services. Flowyana runs the same kinds of counters, and adds the books, staff, and customer records behind them.

In short

Choose DotPe if you want a POS bundled with an online store, QR ordering, and delivery and marketplace integrations. Choose Flowyana if you want the till, stock, staff, and double-entry books in one platform on published plans, and you do not need online ordering or delivery integrations.

Where Flowyana differs

What changes if you choose Flowyana.

The books are part of the product

Every sale, purchase, payroll run, and recipe consumption writes its own double-entry voucher, so there is no export to a separate accounting package.

One platform, not one industry

The same workspace runs the restaurant, the retail shop, the rental fleet, and the service desk: one customer record, one ledger, one login.

Branches with their own GSTIN

Each branch keeps its own GSTIN, documents, cash sessions, and staff, who see only their branch, while the owner reads per-branch and combined reports.

Staff in the same system

Payslips come from salary structures, attendance, and leave, and the cost posts to the books.

Being fair

When DotPe is the better choice.

  • You want an online store and QR ordering from the same vendor as your POS.
  • You want delivery and marketplace integrations managed from one dashboard. DotPe lists them; Flowyana offers none.
  • You need GST e-invoices or e-way bills from the POS. Flowyana generates neither.
  • You want card and UPI terminals connected to the till through a payments partner. Flowyana takes QR and pay-link payments through Razorpay but does not connect card terminals.

If that sounds like you, we would rather say so now than after a demo. If it does not, book one and judge for yourself.

Questions

Asked when comparing with DotPe.

Is Flowyana a good DotPe alternative?

Yes, for a restaurant or shop that wants the till, stock, staff, and double-entry books in one system on published plans. If an online store, QR ordering, or delivery integrations are central to you, DotPe lists them and is the closer fit today.

What is the difference between Flowyana and DotPe?

DotPe offers a POS with online ordering, QR, inventory, and payments. Flowyana is a platform where the POS is one product line beside accounting, HR and payroll, CRM, rentals, and bookings.

Does Flowyana integrate with Swiggy and Zomato?

No. Flowyana has no food-aggregator integration today. If delivery-app orders are a large share of your sales, tell us before the demo and we will be straight about the fit.

Does Flowyana have an online store or QR ordering?

No. Customers can pay by QR code or pay link, but Flowyana does not run an online store or table-side QR ordering.

Does Flowyana work offline at the counter?

Yes. The POS is offline-first and keeps selling and printing without a connection, then syncs.

Does Flowyana have a phone POS app?

No. The POS app runs on Windows and macOS tills. The rest of the platform works in a browser on a computer, tablet, or phone.

Does Flowyana generate GST e-invoices or e-way bills?

No. We do not claim Invoice Registration Portal or e-way bill integration. As of October 2026, e-invoicing applies above ₹5 crore turnover; if that is you, check your obligations with your CA.

Does Flowyana work in India and the Gulf?

Yes. GST and VAT are settings, so an Indian workspace splits CGST, SGST, and IGST while a Gulf workspace runs VAT with Arabic–English documents.
