Flowyana vs Zoho Books: cloud accounting with add-ons, or one platform sold per module?

Zoho Books is a well-known cloud accounting application, sold in tiers that unlock features and include a number of users. Flowyana is a business platform in which accounting is one of two dozen modules, bought individually and sharing one set of records with the till, the stock, and the staff.

In short

Choose Zoho Books if you mainly need cloud accounting, value its official FTA and ZATCA accreditation, and are happy to add other Zoho apps for the rest. Choose Flowyana if you want POS, stock, HR, rentals, or service operations in the same records as the books, bought per module rather than per plan tier.

Where Flowyana differs

What changes if you choose Flowyana.

One product, not a bundle of apps

CRM, HR, POS, rentals, and support in Flowyana are modules over one customer record and one ledger — no connectors between products.

Per module, not per tier

You never move up a plan to unlock inventory or multi-currency; you switch on the module you need and pay for it.

The till is native

Retail and restaurant POS post straight into stock, cash sessions, and accounts, offline-first, without a second product.

Operations write the books

Jobs, rentals, bookings, subscriptions, and production all post accounting entries as they happen.

Being fair

When Zoho Books is the better choice.

  • You need officially accredited e-invoicing in the UAE or Saudi Arabia today and want the vendor’s compliance statement on record.
  • You are a very small business that fits Zoho Books’ free or entry tier and does not need stock, a till, or staff in the same system.
  • Your team already runs on other Zoho applications and wants everything from one vendor’s ecosystem.

If that sounds like you, we would rather say so now than after a demo. If it does not, book one and judge for yourself.

Questions

Asked when comparing with Zoho Books.

Is Flowyana GST or VAT compliant like Zoho Books claims to be?

Flowyana’s tax is configurable and every posting splits tax correctly, with live tax summaries to file from. We do not currently claim a government accreditation; statutory filing and e-invoicing obligations should be confirmed with your accountant.

Can I buy only accounting in Flowyana?

Yes. Accounting is a complete module on its own, and invoicing, inventory, or POS can be added later over the same records.

Does Flowyana have a free plan?

No. Pricing is per module, sized by users and branches, and quoted per business. Every quote follows a demo on your own kind of data.
