Flowyana vs Swipe: a phone-first GST invoicing app, or a platform for the whole business?

Swipe describes itself as simple GST invoicing, POS billing, and inventory for SMEs, with Android and iOS apps, e-invoices, and e-way bills. Flowyana is a browser-based platform where the till, stock, accounts, staff, and customers share one set of records.

In short

Choose Swipe if you want to invoice from your phone and need GST e-invoices and e-way bills from the same app. Choose Flowyana if you run a shop or several branches and want the till, stock, payroll, CRM, and the books in one system on a published plan, and you will handle e-invoicing another way.

Where Flowyana differs

What changes if you choose Flowyana.

Books written by operations

In Flowyana a POS sale, an invoice, a purchase receipt, or a payroll run posts its own voucher, so the trial balance and GST summaries are current every day.

Branches with their own scope

Each branch keeps its own documents, cash sessions, stock, and staff, who see only their branch, while the owner reads one set of books.

Staff and customers in the same system

Payroll, CRM, the omnichannel inbox, and the support desk share one customer record with the ledger.

Being fair

When Swipe is the better choice.

  • You need GST e-invoices and e-way bills from your billing software today. Swipe lists both; Flowyana generates neither.
  • You bill mainly from a phone. Flowyana has no phone POS app, although the web platform works in a phone browser.
  • You want to send invoices by WhatsApp, email, or SMS from a simple app.
  • You run a single small business and a lightweight invoicing app is enough.

If that sounds like you, we would rather say so now than after a demo. If it does not, book one and judge for yourself.

Questions

Asked when comparing with Swipe.

Is Flowyana a good Swipe alternative?

Yes, for a business that wants billing, stock, the till, staff, and the books in one system. If you need e-invoices or e-way bills from the same app, Swipe is the closer fit today.

What is the difference between Flowyana and Swipe?

Swipe is a GST invoicing, POS billing, and inventory app for small businesses. Flowyana is a platform where accounting is a module beside POS, inventory, CRM, HR and payroll, rentals, and bookings, sold per product line.

Does Flowyana generate GST e-invoices or e-way bills?

No. We do not claim Invoice Registration Portal or e-way bill integration. As of October 2026, e-invoicing applies above ₹5 crore turnover; if that is you, check your obligations with your CA. Your invoices are still GST-split, HSN-coded records.

How does Flowyana handle GST?

CGST, SGST, and IGST are split on every posting with HSN/SAC per line, and GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B summaries come from your books. You or your CA file the returns.

Does Flowyana work in India and the Gulf?

Yes. GST and VAT are settings, so an Indian workspace splits CGST, SGST, and IGST while a Gulf workspace runs VAT with Arabic–English documents.

Does Flowyana have a phone app?

No phone POS app. The platform works in any browser, including on a phone, and the POS app runs on Windows and macOS tills and keeps selling without a connection.

Can we take card payments in India?

Yes. Card payments by pay link or QR run through Razorpay in India (Tap in the Gulf).

Can we move from Swipe to Flowyana?

Yes. Onboarding loads your products, clients, suppliers, and price lists, and we set up your chart of accounts and GST rates with you.
