Flowyana vs greytHR: a full HRMS and payroll suite, or HR and payroll on the platform that runs the rest of the business?
greytHR is an HRMS and payroll platform that covers the employee lifecycle from hiring to retirement, with Indian statutory payroll, several ways to capture attendance, and a mobile app. Flowyana HR & Payroll covers staff, shifts, attendance, leave, and payroll, and posts salary into the same books as your sales, stock, and till.
In short
Choose greytHR if you need payroll that computes PF, ESI, PT, LWF, and TDS, attendance from biometric or face-recognition devices, or a mobile app for staff. Choose Flowyana if you want HR and payroll in the same system as accounting, POS, and CRM, on its own plan by headcount — and you will file statutory returns another way.

Where Flowyana differs
What changes if you choose Flowyana.
Payroll lands in the books
A posted pay run writes the salary cost and what you owe staff as accounting entries, so finance reads payroll in the same profit and loss as everything else.
One platform, not one department
Customers, sales, stock, tills, and staff share one set of records instead of an HR tool beside an accounts tool.
Sold as its own HR line
HR & Payroll has three plans by headcount; add accounting, POS, or CRM later without moving people data.
Self-service for staff
My HR shows each employee their own attendance, leave balance, and payslips, in English or Arabic per user.
Limits stated up front
No statutory returns, bank salary files, biometric link, or mobile app today.
Being fair
When greytHR is the better choice.
- You need payroll software that computes and files PF, ESI, and TDS. greytHR states it does; Flowyana does not produce those returns.
- You want attendance from fingerprint or face-recognition devices. greytHR lists biometric and face recognition; Flowyana has no device connection.
- Your staff expect a mobile app. greytHR lists one; Flowyana is browser-only.
- You want recruitment and performance in the same HR tool.
If that sounds like you, we would rather say so now than after a demo. If it does not, book one and judge for yourself.
Questions
Asked when comparing with greytHR.
Is Flowyana a good greytHR alternative?
It is a good fit if you want HR and payroll in the same system as your accounts, till, and customers, and your statutory returns are handled separately. If PF, ESI, or TDS filing, biometric attendance, or a staff mobile app is essential, greytHR is the closer match today.
What is the difference between Flowyana and greytHR?
greytHR is a dedicated HRMS and payroll suite. Flowyana HR & Payroll is one product line on a platform that also runs accounting, POS, CRM, and more, with payroll posting straight into the books.
Does Flowyana calculate PF, ESI, and TDS?
No. There is no PF, ESI, or TDS return in Flowyana. You can build allowances, deductions, and tax lines as salary components, and use the payslips alongside your filings.
Can Flowyana run payroll for the UAE or Saudi Arabia?
It handles attendance, leave, salary structures, and payslips with Arabic or English screens. As of October 2026 it produces no WPS salary files and no GOSI submissions, so salaries are paid through your bank as today.
Does Flowyana connect to a fingerprint or face device?
No. Attendance is recorded by clocking in from the browser, or entered by staff with permission. You can add a location check to clock-in.
Do employees get an app?
No app. Employees with a login use the browser, including on a phone, to clock in, request leave, and read payslips.
Which days does payroll count as working days?
Yes. Choose the weekly days off in the attendance policy, for example Friday and Saturday. Payroll counts working days from those days and your holiday list, so neither is ever counted as an absence.
Can I buy HR alone?
Yes. HR & Payroll has its own three published plans sized by employees, and you can run it beside any other tools.
