Flowyana vs Wafeq: Gulf cloud accounting with e-invoicing built in, or one platform for the whole business?

Wafeq is cloud accounting built for the Gulf: invoicing, inventory, payroll, and over 40 financial reports, in Arabic and English, with UAE and Saudi e-invoicing as the centre of its pitch. Flowyana is a business platform in which accounting is one module, sharing one set of records with the till, the stock, the staff, and the branches.

In short

Choose Wafeq if accounting is what you need and e-invoicing has to be handled by your software vendor: it is listed by the UAE Ministry of Finance as an Accredited Service Provider and states it connects directly to ZATCA’s Fatoora platform. Choose Flowyana if you want POS, stock, HR, rentals, or service operations in the same records as the books, on a plan for the product you run — and you will handle e-invoicing another way.

Where Flowyana differs

What changes if you choose Flowyana.

The till is native

Retail and restaurant POS post straight into stock, cash sessions, and accounts, offline-first, without a second product or a daily summary sync.

Operations write the books

A POS sale, a rental invoice, a payroll run, or a stock receipt posts its own double-entry voucher, with VAT on its own ledger.

One platform, not one department

CRM, service jobs, rentals, subscriptions, and the support desk run over the same customer record and the same ledger as the accounts.

Branches are scoped, not tagged

Each branch keeps its own documents, cash sessions, stock, and staff, who see only their branch, while the owner reads one set of books.

Being fair

When Wafeq is the better choice.

  • You need UAE e-invoicing from your software vendor. Wafeq is on the Ministry of Finance’s list of Accredited Service Providers and states e-invoicing is included in its plans; Flowyana is not an Accredited Service Provider and offers no e-invoicing integration.
  • You are in a ZATCA Phase 2 wave and want invoicing that connects to Fatoora itself. Wafeq states it does; Flowyana does not clear or report invoices to Fatoora.
  • You invoice customers in dollars or euros. Wafeq handles transactions in several currencies; Flowyana keeps books and documents in one home currency.
  • Accounting is the whole job, and you have no till, rental fleet, or service desk to bring into the same system.

If that sounds like you, we would rather say so now than after a demo. If it does not, book one and judge for yourself.

Questions

Asked when comparing with Wafeq.

Is Flowyana an Accredited Service Provider like Wafeq?

No. Flowyana does not claim Accredited Service Provider status, Peppol accreditation, or any e-invoicing integration. As of October 2026, UAE e-invoices must travel through an accredited provider you appoint, phased from January 2027; check the Ministry of Finance’s current list before relying on any vendor, including ours.

Does Flowyana do ZATCA e-invoicing like Wafeq?

No. Flowyana’s tax engine is configurable — VAT, compound taxes, inclusive or exclusive — and every posting splits tax correctly, with a Saudi VAT return report to work from. We do not offer ZATCA integration or certification, so if clearance is a requirement today we will say so before the demo.

Can we keep Wafeq for accounting and run operations in Flowyana?

It means two systems and a reconciliation, which is the thing Flowyana exists to remove. Tell us how you work today, including how you handle e-invoicing, and we will be straight about whether the move is worth it.
